In order to truly love yourself you have to accept, respect and have compassion for yourself. While loving yourself unconditionally. It is not about comparing yourself to others to determine if your good enough. It is not about being arrogant, selfish, self-centered or egotistical. It is not about looking after number one or putting yourself first at all times or at all cost. Choose to move from a unloving, fearful perceptive to a loving and whole perspective.
Real self love is reverencing, honoring your Divine sacred self. It is about accepting both light and dark areas in your life. Every morning practice looking in the mirror and saying” Hello gorgeous! I love you. ” It might feel funny at first but over time you will relax and get used to being loving and kind to yourself. Here are a few simple ways to show yourself more love .
1. One of the most important key to self love is to stop criticizing and judging yourself. Have compassion and forgiveness for yourself and learn to be kind. Practice non judgment. Pay close attention to the dialog in your mind and the words you speak to yourself. Sometimes we are more loving and forgiving with others then we are with ourselves. Create loving and positive affirmations to reprogram your thoughts and replace negative beliefs. You can say” I choose in this moment to love myself and accept myself just as I am”.
2.Be kind to yourself when you make a mistake. Its not the end of the world when you mess up or make a mistake. Allow your mistake to be teaching tool. Learn from them and move on. Don’t beat yourself up.
3. Embrace your imperfections. We are not meant to be prefect. Perfect does not exists. Perfection is a illusion in our minds to keep us trapped and feeling worthless and terrible about ourselves.
